Hunting for Mussels
Met up with Nel on Sunday night and had my favourite Chilli Mussels! The last time I was in Northbridge, I couldn't find Uncle Vincent's and thought I got the location confused or that they had closed down. Nel tried to call earlier in the day but no one answered and we drove past the original location but couldn't find it either.Anyway, we had given up and were going to eat at another Italian restaurant along the same stretch. To our surprise and glee, at the door of Capriccio, we found this notice - Formerly "Uncle Vincent's"! Apparently, they were bought over 5 years ago. To think we were kept in the dark all this while...
Visited Utopia after that for a refreshing cup of the new Red Bean and Green Tea Frost to wash down all the spice and then popped by Nel's marital home for a look :o)

Woke up early the next morning and jogged along Swan River towards Burswood. Should have done that more when I was living there. Then, had my favourite Fast Ed's sandwich for lunch - the Grilled Chicken and Avocado!
Another fruitful and fulfilling trip despite the fact that all the shops and supermarkets were closed the whole time I was there - I arrived on Sunday evening and the next day was Labour Day!

Two lousy smses since the last excounter. Is that the best he can do? Am I expecting too much? I think not. I didn't reply to the first but decided to give a half-hearted reply after the second. After some thought, I also offered to provide an explanation for the sudden change of behaviour. Will leave it to him to decide if he finds the truth worth pursuing. Bah...

I'm going for a short holiday to Jakarta tomorrow! Well... sorta. Paxing up in the morning and flying back the next day. Unfortunately, there'll be thunderstorms. So won't be spending too much time at the pool. Perhaps I'll visit the gym and go for some shopping nearby. Will also bring along a book and order room-service this time. Nice...

Stuggling with Lesson 3 and trying to master the figure of eight and crank courses. Definitely making progress but it is not easy. You have to remember that this is coming from someone who had to take 50 practical lessons before passing her Class 3. Came across a meaningful quote on the bus today - It doesn't matter how slowly you're moving as long as you don't stop. How true... But of course you will also want to ensure that you are headed towards the destination of your choice. Wouldn't want to end up in the middle of nowhere...
