Early Reunion Lunch

My tummy is smiling from all the delicious food I had for lunch today. Had to do the reunion meal early coz I've got a flight tomorrow and will only return in the early morning of 26th.

It feels great being able to eat whatever and as much as I like :o) Must make it a point not to do that too often though...

Have been gaining weight recently but realized it must be muscle mass coz I've been working out at the gym about 2/3 times a week and doing cardio 3/4 times. Everything is pretty much firmer and I feel stronger and fitter. My uniform feels comfortable so I definitely haven't been growing horizontally even though I feel more curvy. My face has gone a tad bit sharper and my arms seem a bit bigger but also more defined. My body is changing and I am starting to feel more like (*blushes) a woman.

My motorbike practical lessons are going well. I haven't cleared the first module yet but it's okay. I'm not stressing myself out. I've only gone twice and am giving myself the entire year to get my license. Then, I'll buy a Vespa! I've already decided how I want it to look - midnight blue with 3 gold stripes, plush cream seats + helmet and pilot type goggles. Can you guess my inspiration?

It's strange how the moment I start getting into biking that I start befriending more people with bikes. I just love the feeling of being able to fulfill my dreams with complete peace of mind. My mom already knows by the way. I decided to tell her after my first lesson and she wasn't too happy but she also realizes that she can't exactly do anything about it. I mean, I am 29 this year.

Have been checked 5 times since I started work and my first 4 reports were alright - scores climbing steadily. But the most recent one on the flight to Zurich took a dip. I guess it might be due to the fact that I was unfamiliar with the aircraft - my 2nd time on the 300ER. Also, I guess I shot myself in the foot with my poor product knowledge. And after 3 months too. I ought to be ashamed of myself and I am. Have decided that I really need to buck up on this area so I'm spending the afternoon pouring through my training notes. No more excuses on my poor memory retention. I believe that if I can develop interest, everything will be easier to remember!

Zurich was cold and bleak but also wonderfully magical. I was out on my own for most of the two days. Explored the city on the first day and literally stumbled into the main attractions - the inner city churches! Was so glad I decided to wander around on my own because otherwise I would not have seen the inside of the churches and climbed one of the two towers of Grossmunster to behold the most spectacular view of the city! My two companions who were with me for about 3 hours were only interested in trawling the shops on the main street.

On day two, I visited the city of Lucerne and Engelberg aka Angel Mountain - a small village at the base of Mount Titlis dominated by a beautiful and ancient Baroque style monastery church. Decided not to do Titlis (over 3000m above sea level) coz it was too cold and more than double the cost of the Engelberg tour. The attractions listed in the brochure didn't impress me either and besides there was already snow at Engelberg (about 1000m above sea level).

Bought lots of cheese and chocolates coz you can't go to Switzerland and not come back with some of their famous local produce. Anyway, nothing there is cheap and any item you grab off the shelf or from the eateries will easily cost 2 to 3 times more than Singapore.

Nice place to visit for a couple of days but not fun to live in. Hope I get to go again in summer for the Heidiland Tour!
