For the Love of Bread
I am totally head over heels in love with Japanese food - especially the bread, cheesecakes and chocolate! How in the world do they make food like that?According to one of my Japanese colleagues, the reason everything is so soft, fresh and tasty is because they do not use much preservatives. Sometimes none at all and that's why their products tend to have a very short shelf life.
Nothing there is cheap but everything is top notch. I am so impressed with their quality of life (minus the stress) coz i hear that suicide rate is extremely high in Japan. The clothes they wear, their transport system, the food they eat, even their toilets - all branded and super advanced. How do the people survive there? My only explanation - Japan is filthy rich...
I believe that the Japanese must be the most refined people in the East. Their level of discipline, conscientiousness, organizational skills, technological advancement and even fashion sense leaves the rest of Asia licking their dust. Their main disadvantage seems to be their poor grasp of the English language.
Only had time to visit the Aeon Mall and Shibuya this time. Will definitely plan to cover more places on my next trip - including Ueno, Shinjuku and Harajuku!
