Anger & Forgiveness
Pastor talked about Anger/Forgiveness yesterday and it was like an arrow to my heart. Exactly what I need to deal with at this juncture of my life. Have been struggling quite a bit with anger and hateful thoughts recently and it's not going away because I have to face this person on a daily basis and put up with his living habits.I went forward to be prayed for at the end of service even though I didn't feel that I had any love that person but forgiveness is really an act of will and I knew I had to start somewhere.
In a nutshell:
Matt 5:21-24 says we must be reconciled with our brother before offering our worship/gift to God which means we cannot be right before God until we are right with people
Eph 4:26 says we can be angry but we should not let the anger get out of control and fall into sin
