Chief

How does one so lazy and incapable get promoted to number two? Is it merely time that determines an employees' progress? Yes he may be mild mannered and cordial but is that good enough?

Does he think it is our responsibility to close the carts? Not a word of thanks. Does he even know how many carts there are? Or that a "footrest" is called a "footrest" and not "leg rest". Does he consider himself too superior to return jackets or answer call bells? Shouldn't a good leader help out whenever needed? Everyone else is already busy enough and if he doesn't wish to help, he should at the very least try not to bother us with less important tasks. Why does he make us go out with water and apple juice instead orange? Doesn't he know that apple juice is always insufficient? The seatbelt sign has come on and the announcement has been made for us to be seated and yet a moment later he wants me to answer a call bell? The galley tops are laden with all sorts of items and he reckons it is fine to leave everything as it is even during turbulence?

And now everyone has to put up with his inefficient and weird ways of running the show - pushing the meal carts unnecessarily back and forth too many times. I suspect it is so that he can get away with doing as little as possible. No one says a word or questions his orders. At his level, "feedback" is not kindly accepted and will be taken personally. Whatever you say can and will probably be turned around and used against you.

He's paid more to do the same work but why is it that the juniors end up taking up most of the responsibility? Maybe his only concern is that he gets enough to eat and we hit two and a half times. Fortunately, he is really one of a kind and I have yet to meet another as lazy and inefficient as he...
