Phuket

Our trip to Phuket was definitely the most relaxing holiday I've ever had. I was not really expecting much coz I was there with my mom last year and had seen and done most of what was available but this trip kinda redefined my idea of a holiday. It was quite different from the crazy shopping trips I'm used to and very refreshing.

Spent loads of time at the resort relaxing by the pool and working out at the gym. Yup, I worked out 3 out of 4 days (Des worked out twice) and we spent about an hour at the pool everyday. Felt great after exercising coz we could indulge in guilt-free feasting.

Over the last 4 days...

* Went Jetskiing (1000 baht for 30mins)

* Went Go-Karting (500 baht for 10mins)

* Went for a manicure and pedicure (400 baht)

* Went for a massage (400 baht for 1hr)

* Visited Central Festival Mall, Ocean Robinsons and Expo in Phuket Town

* Shopped along Patong Beach, the Rat-U-Thit stretch and at OTOP

* Tried various forms of transport - Minibus, Taxi, Tuk Tuk, Local Bus (Song Taews)

Shared expenses...

Between the two of us, we spent about 5000 baht on great meals, 2000 baht on transport and 200 baht buying 10 big bottles of water.

On my own, I purchased...

1) pink, yellow and gold silk nightie (400 baht)
2) a pair of blue simpsons silk boxers (100 baht)
3) a pair of chopsticks for the hair (180 baht)
4) 2 pairs of board shorts (450 baht)
5) tidbits (700 baht)
6) gum (150 baht)
7) 3 pieces of dvds (180 baht)
8) 3 postcards (50 baht)
9) a Ed Hardy cap (200 baht)
10) 3 naval Rings (750 baht)
11) a LESPORTSAC bag (300 baht)
12) 2 bras (400 baht)
13) Nivea Sunblock (300 baht)
14) Baileys, Vodka and Beer (S$100)

* Total Expediture not including the $250 I paid for air tix and accommodation was about S$500!
